What are you doing after dark…?
The long sunny warm lazy days of summer are but a distant memory now, with beautiful sunsets and light levels falling long after 2200hrs, that ten o’clock in old money. In contrast November days can be more like night than day with less than seven hours daylight, if we are lucky! Here in the North West in summer we have over seventeen hours of daylight, that’s forty five minutes longer to run trains than in the South East of the country. So as daylight hours are in ‘short’ supply running services after dark during winter months is the only option, if Scotrail (Firstgroup) can run at night so can we! Do you have pictures…
No night running here, it’s usually too cold after dark. There may be a “Holiday Service” around Christmas time, but that will be weather dependant. That leaves the long nights for re-reading copies of the Journal as I try to work out how best to incorporate a new station at the bottom of the garden for next year. Got two new kits to build for the station, so, I’d better get my thinking cap on.
The last tram leaves Pine Tree Junction but never arrives!!!
