G Scale members based in Surrey or surrounding areas are most welcome to join the Surrey Area Group. Either indicate affiliation to Surrey as one of your 3 choices on your membership form, or contact us using the details in our G Scale Journal entry.

We send out a regular newsletters and email alerts with details of forthcoming events in Surrey and neighbouring areas. Our main event of the year is our Indoor Meet in East Horsley village hall each March, when we usually hire three meeting rooms allowing 8 layouts, several traders and members’ sales, as well as excellent refreshments.

Another popular fixture is a running day at the Mizens Railway, near Woking, where we take over the station house to run G Scale and, weather permitting, have a ride behind a 7¼” loco. In Summer, we have open afternoons, which are an opportunity to run trains and discuss engineering issues and layout design, whilst enjoying tea and cake.
