West Sussex Area Group – Teddy Bears’ Picnic Railway Event

The West Sussex Area Group will be taking part in the upcoming Teddy Bears’ Picnic event, with a strong G scale presence throughout the day.

There will be a large G scale model railway display to enjoy, along with the opportunity to see trains running as part of the event. Visitors are also welcome to bring a G scale train to run, and are encouraged to bring a chair if they would like to sit and watch the railway.

The event itself is a family-friendly Teddy Bears’ Picnic, with multiple trains running during the day and teddy bears to spot around the railway. Trains will start running at 11:00, with the last train at 15:30.

In addition to the G scale railway, there will be fair games, swing boats, face painting in the picnic area for £3.00, and space for families to bring their own picnic. Visitors getting off at Hardham Halt will also be able to view the model railway displays.

Train rides are £3.00 per child/adult ticket, which also includes a go on the swing boats and fair games. There is no need to book in advance — just come along to the ticket office on the day.

This should be a relaxed and enjoyable day for G scale enthusiasts, families, and anyone interested in garden railways.
