Ellis Clark Trains

Set up in 2011 by Ellis, Ellis Clark Trains specialises in buying and selling all scales of model railway, from Z gauge all the way up to 7 1/4 gauge and including N gauge and 00 gauge.

But how did it all start? Ellis’s interest in model trains grew throughout childhood as his father (Andrew of Andrew Clark Models) took him to the National Railway Museum in York. Soon, Ellis and dad were visiting the museum on almost a monthly basis, with railway exhibitions in between!

In October of 2011, when Ellis was working in a coffee shop, Andrew called his son and suggested that if he ever wanted to set up a business of his own, he could take up some space in his office. You can imagine the shock on his face when Ellis handed in his notice that very same day!

By December 2011 Ellis was running Ellis Clark Trains as a successful full time business. Since then his love for model trains has continued, and Ellis travels up and down the country buying all eras and scales of model railway, diecast and tinplate, and attending many railway exhibitions and toy fairs.
